The initial motive of MTD NGO is to educate women about their menstrual hygiene with the project LAJJA. Being in a developing country like India, there still remains some rural areas untouched by modernity. There are areas where people even till date believe that the menstruation of women is a curse. The harsh reality is that women do not take the right hygiene measures during their time of the month and then suffer from infections and health problems. MTD NGO has chosen to carry this great responsibility on its shoulders to educate women and young girls about their womanhood and how to keep up with hygiene on tough days.

Through the project LAJJA, the team of MTD NGO reaches the core of the villages and helps women by educating them about the correct measures that must be followed during their menstruation. MTD NGO has also prepared a "MENSTRUPEDIA", a small guidebook to the rescue when there is no one near the women during their menstruation. The book has every small detail about the hygiene standards that will help women to ease and comfort their tough days. In a monitoring tour by MTD NGO in rural areas, it was frequently observed that areas lack awareness about menstruation and treat it as something dangerous or not so normal. It is sad to know that people still treat Menstruation as a taboo, stigma, or something bad and not normal. In such areas, women also feel so uncomfortable during such days. Only if we could just imagine the mental health of such women who are fighting with this stigma in their daily life. Women's life in these areas is really tough and could barely be lived. In such conditions, MTD NGO aims to give comfort and easy life to the girls and ladies living in these rural areas.

There is this very old saying "One who has a strategy is never disappointed but full of confidence and enthusiasm." MTD NGO also has a plan of execution which has given this project LAJJA a great success in different cities of India like Varanasi, Lucknow, barabanki of Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai in Maharashtra, and many more.

The plan of execution by MTD NGO is:

AWARENESS : MTD NGO has a well-experienced team for AWARENESS execution. The team members are always monitoring the identification of the area which lack menstruation awareness. The team goes to the core of the villages and does the analysis of the complete village and its people. So that Project LAJJA can reach and help people in need. On the basis of verification, the team shortlists the areas and then the project is excited. Then our team of well-experienced doctors explains to the women and the public about the AWARENESS of Menstruation. The people are given complete knowledge about how normal is menstruation.

ACCEPTANCE: Team MTD NGO focuses on the acceptance of menstruation in the local public. As the NGO aims to free the women of India from this Menstruation stigma. After complete guidance, MTD NGO provides the locals with free Menstruation hygiene kits for about 6 months and keeps track so that there is ACCEPTANCE of Menstruation in the daily life of the public in these areas.

ACCESS: ACCESSING the project countrywide is the dream of MTD NGO and are working on it with full-fledged team execution. Team MTD NGO takes back-to-back follow-ups of the women who were part of this program to ensure that they are leading an easy life later on. MTD NGO also has set up a women's helpline number which is active from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm and can be easy to ACCESS by the ladies for Menstruation guide or any difficulties during the menstrual cycle.

To date the project LAJJA has made a golden mark in the cities of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh and is soon to cover the whole of the country. Starting from the date 26th of October 2021, the menstrual pads 3000 in the count have been distributed all over to about 2500 public and in 15 sessions. It is a mark of achievement says the contributors.

" I really feel sorry to see such poor conditions of the women in rural areas and now I have been determined to remove this stigma at any cost says the CEO and philanthropist Mr. Deepak Vishwakarma of Making The Difference NGO".
